Roads are slick but at least the main streets are plowed.
My street wasn't plowed until very early this morning. And then it snowed even more.
It's still coming down.
My pup and I had cabin fever from staying inside yesterday so we drove over to the park this morning, which surprisingly was also plowed in parts.
She hates it when I make her stop for pictures. "Ok, mom, enough - next time I'm going alone!"
They say we'll be getting even more. Can't say I'm not prepared . . . .
It's a Winter Wonderland out there. I love it.

I was visiting my daughter in Chicago in April one year when to my surprise, it snowed!! Hearing the snow plows when we should have been seeing daffodils was a real experience!
Love the snow in the mountains, but not on the streets. So glad I live on the west coast, we've only had an inch or two a couple of weeks ago. It's gone now of course. Just raining. Makes me want to get into the sewing room and start working on my Bear's Paw quilt. Have already pulled the fabrics so will start the cutting now.
And yet two hours north of you the sun is out and shining and not a trace of snow! But it's crazy cold and we are going to have highs of -13 for Monday. I'm going to stay in today, put on some tea and start a bears paw.
I have to say I'm glad we don't have much snow in our part of the UK!
Happy New Year!
I am okay with the snow, but not looking forward to the extreme cold predicted for next week. Zero (or anything below) just doesn't cut it for me.
Absolutely incredible. Hope I see snow like that one day! Poor puppy paws!
Nos encanta, es precioso ver nevar. Aqui en Valencia (España) no nieva y el invierno nevado debe ser precioso.
Un beso.
Merci pour ces beaux paysages, ici en Bretagne, ce sont le vent et les crues qui dominent !!!
Happy New Year with a news projects!!!
Big kisses
Freezing for us 22 Below zero this morning and the sun has not rose yet in the U.P. of MI. I love the snow - but the frigid temps have to go.
Hey...your post looks a lot like mine! You have more snow than we do though. I don't ever seem to get cabin fever, especially in the winter. But, glad you braved the weather to take your pup to the park - and you looked cute too - love the boots!
Love the boots! I just got a long down parka for Christmas and now I need boots like those! Lots of snow here too. I like it too, as long as I don't have to drive anywhere. I do enjoy walking or skiing though. Or just staying inside and sewing!
It looks like winter where I just moved ... Salmon Arm, BC. :) i could sure use a good pair of boots, lol!
I found your first two books on Amazon , and I am waiting impatiently for them to arrive.
Now I can join in the fun!! I'm really looking forward to making as many as I can. If you love winter you would love it here in Manitoba. Stay warm.
Happy new year.
How lovely! I think I would love it - we never get snow where I live, but it would be a great excuse to sit and hand quilt! :-D
I grew up in Glen Ellyn and remember the winters all too well. Where did you get your boots? I love them and I need a new pair. BTW, I have all your books and love all your patterns!!!
Thanks Cindy - I bought the boots a few years ago at a dept store in a mall. Don't remember which one. Sorry
When the snow falls softly it's beautiful. When the wind whips the falling snow around, not so much. Your pics look beautiful!
Stay warm!
