Mini Patriotic Quilt Sew Along

Well, it seems I just can't go for very long without starting a new sew along . . .  I'm starting a new project for this coming July and the American Semiquincentennial.  As most of you have probably heard, the U. S. will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Quilting has played a big role in American history and those of you who are familiar with my books will appreciate this suggestion for making a quilt to celebrate our country's history.

I'll be making a patriotic quilt with little stars and I'd love for you to join me. It's a surprise! I'll give you the pattern on Friday, June 5 in my Facebook group and I'll also put it up on my websiteI thought I'd see if we can finish a small red, white and blue quilt by July 4 and have a little patriotic parade in the FB group. This has been on my mind for awhile and over the past few weeks I came up with a few fun ideas but time is a little scarce for me right now so a large quilt is not practical. I decided to go with something small and simple so I can actually finish it in time. I'm sure many of you also have other projects planned. But, if you're in my Facebook group, I'd love for you to join us in the sew along and make something.

Are you thinking of making something else in red, white and blue? I've got a few "patriotic" themed quilts in my books and Etsy shop you might enjoy sewing. Here are a few -
