A few months ago, the Quilters Hall of Fame contacted me to ask if I would send them some of my quilts for an upcoming exhibit on small quilts! The museum is located in Marion, Indiana.
Little Beauties: The Art of Miniature Quilts opens on February 22 and continues through May 7. Check out the Hall of Fame website for more info. Click on Exhibits for hours and details.
Time for a road trip to Indiana this spring?? I may stop by the museum sometime in April to teach a class or give a demo. And maybe bring my Schoolgirl Sampler quilt for Show & Tell. Of course, this will all depend upon the Covid situation in April. I'll keep you posted.

Congratulations! I know everyone will love to see these treasures!
Congratulations! That’s wonderful and your quilts will be such a great addition to the exhibit!
Congratulations, what a great honor!
Love your quilts. I see some I have made and others I want to make.
Congratulations Kathy. That is so exciting. It looks like I might have a road trip in my future.
What a wonderful honor !! Congratulations11
Congratulations, Kathy! What a wonderful opportunity to show your beautiful little quilts! I just wish Indiana wasn’t so far away from Washington State!
Best news of the day! Congratulations! Just might have to do a road trip myself. Would be great to see your little beauties altogether in such a special setting.
Congratulations! Well deserved and a wonderful opportunity.
How special is that, Kathy! A well deserved honor. You definitely deserve the recognition.

Congratulations! I can’t wait to see the exhibit! I’ve always loved your mini quilts. Please post about any classes or talks you will give. Thanks!
So great. Cingratulations!!
Kathy, I’m new to the world of all things quilted. Started in 2018, and now totally hooked. Your style is warm and welcoming, and your designs are i aspirational for me. Thank you. 😊
I enrolled in a BOM through Homestead Hearth and have just now started the Schoolgirl sampler quilt. I have a few questions … where can I direct my questions regarding a bit of confusion on my part about the blocks.
Thank You,
Catherine
Thanks you, everyone!
The show opened this morning, and it is awesome!!!!!!!
When I entered the museum, i asked the volunteer why anyone would make a small quilt. You only have so many dolls and so much wall space. But now I understand. It's all about the variety and creativity.
I wasn't familiar with Kathleen's work, and I am now a fan. I loved her Schoolgirl Sampler. I love the idea of a panel sampler, one block 6 times in different color ways. My mind is racing with ideas.
Thank you for sharing your work!

Nada - Sorry to tell you but that is not my Schoolgirl Sampler quilt LOL. I did not send that one to the museum. This was a Mystery quilt project from 2019. Of course it does use some of the sampler blocks.
