Is It Late July already??

I know I've said it recently but time sure flies. It's late in July and the quilt many have been working on for this month's small quilt challenge is the pink and brown nine patch. I wanted to show you some of the finished ones.

Here's Sue's version.

Karen's version. She made a mini.

Marian's versions.

This is an easy one (I love nine-patch blocks!) and you can see how using a different color combination can make your quilt unique. In August I'll post the clue for the Welcome Home Mystery Quilt. Only a few clues left.

I've been working on bindings for quilts for the new book and still have a few more to do. Hope to be finished soon and then I am looking forward to getting back to my Dear Jane blocks if I can remember how to paper piece . . . .

How many times have you heard me say that?? I've been stuck at 3 blocks left for quite awhile.

I cant believe it is late July either. This is the last days. This months quilt was made in so many color ways. They all are beautiful in there own way. Your stack of bindings sure does look so inviting. Want to look thru the stack one by one. Your Dear Jane blocks are gorgeous also the last one has one of my favorite fabrics.

Sue - I know. Every time I see someone's quilt in a different color I want to make one too.

I love visiting your blog to see what you're up too. I actually was wondering if you would ever do another book, so this is very exciting news. Love the fabrics and colors choices you make with each of your quilts...you have a wonderful eye for putting fabrics together. Your Dear Jane blocks are so beautiful to see, I love that blue fabric in the last block, I may have to see if my local quilt shop has that available.

Thank you, Karen! Nice to know someone was thinking about me . . . .That blue fabric is one of my favorites too. I think it's an older Jo Morton print. I don't have much left :(

Kathy ~ I never get tired of seeing your beautiful quilts. I am hoping to get to pet some of them again soon at the retreat. I love seeing all the different color ways we make our quilts in. How exciting!!1 We will soon be finishing up your mystery quilt. Will you be having another one for us to do?

Thanks, Karen. Looking forward. If anyone wants to do another Mystery quilt in Jan we can do that.

Hi Kathy,
Yes, your pile of quilts make me wish I could linger through them! Also, I would enjoy working on another Mystery in the New Year.
Thanks!
Sharon

I love everything you show us and I appreciate the time you put into your blog. I haven't done hand quilting in a while and these stencils would be a great way for me to get started again and hone my hand stitching skills.

Having not yet quilted my first "sandwiches" of fabric, I'm thinking it'd be nice to have some stencil guidance. I love the idea of hand-quilting. At sbcglobal dot net (not .com), I go by: giantess.
