What a wonderful collection of amazing quilts! So many different patterns and colors. Thank you all again for participating in this spur of the moment sew along and for inspiring the heck out of us. Now I have to get off the computer and finish putting the borders on mine. 

The pattern for these tiny houses is on my website under Make a Mini in March. I'll keep it up for another month or so but it's always wise to download the pattern and print it out or save it so you have it when I change the page and delete the file.

Tiny Houses

These little 3" houses were so much fun to make. If you haven't joined in my spring sew along yet - Make a Mini in March - there's still time.  You'll find instructions for three little 3" blocks in the FB group files. Use one or all of the blocks to make your quilt. Scrappy is preferred! I've also uploaded the directions to my website if you're not on FB - www.countrylanequilts.com   Click on the tab at the top of the home page and it will take you to the download page. 

I did put some of my houses together into a small top but haven't had much time to decide on a border. I still need to play around a bit. 

So many pretty border fabrics to choose from! Which is your favorite? 

I know that some of you who follow my blog are not on Facebook or Instagram so I asked my FB group if I could share some of their photos for a little inspiration. I'm so glad everyone did their own thing and came up with some really creative ideas. This is just a sampling -  there are many more so I'll post more photos later this week.

Make a Mini in March!

Make a Mini in March! How cute are these little 3" house blocks?? The March doldrums were getting me down so of course I stepped up and did what I needed to do - I started a new little sew along in my Facebook group. Call me crazy. It seems like it's been a long time since I sat down to sew something and this is exactly what I needed to do. 

Take some time during the rest of the month to make a little quilt with me. Use your scraps. Choose a setting. Play around with color and design and let's see what you can come up with.
