The first snowfall of the season always thrills me and makes me feel like a child again.
Is it fall or winter?
I think it's going to be a good day for sewing . . . .
Finishing up my stars and will put them together into a quilt early next year.
Still need to sew a border on this one before we begin a new Mystery Quilt in 2019 -
Have a great weekend!
I feel the same way about the first snow. ^^
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful snow pictures! It does make one want to sew I'm sure. Today is sunny here after what seems like two months of rain; however, it is in the 30's today for the first time this fall. So, I'm sewing today too; the sun is flooding my sunroom, and I love it! Your blocks are looking really good, and I love that last little project! ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteYour snow and stars a beautiful. Love the little basket block also.
ReplyDeleteI live in northern Minnesota so the first snow that we had in September, pretty as it is, means winter until some time in May and below 0 temps for much of it so I don't get excited when I see it. Instead I say I can't wait to retire and move. I do want some winter so won't move south too far but enough to shave a few month off and not go into a deep freeze for long periods. I spend a lot of time with a needle in the winter weather electric or hand. Thanks for sharing fun projects to help get me through. Your shared talent is a gift I give myself with much pleasure.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is in Chicago this month attending school and she sent me pictures of the snow. We are Florida girls, so the snow is definitely a change :-)
ReplyDeleteThat first snowfall is always a welcome sight to me! Rain yesterday caused more flooding, a turn-a-round & detour on our way to a quilt show in a neighboring county. After a sopping wet, spring, summer & fall, it felt good to wear a fleece jacket & see snowflakes in the air today. Snow is "Quilting Weather"!
ReplyDeleteI am sew glad I found your blog. I enjoy your country flair for quilting. I wish I still lived up North in snow country..........sigh.......your pictures made me homesick! I live in Virginia now and would move to Vermont in a heartbeat if the opportunity ever happens to do so! Love your puppy in her Christmas sweater!
