"How
much piecin' a quilt is like livin' a life! You can give the same kind of
pieces to two persons, and one will make a nine-patch and one'll
make a wild goose chase, and there will be two quilts made out of
the same kind of pieces, and jest as different as they can be. And that is jest
the way with livin'. The Lord sends us the pieces, but we cut them out and put
'em together pretty much to suit ourselves, and there's a heap more in the
cuttin' out and the sewin' than there is in the caliker." From: Aunt Jane of Kentucky, by Eliza Calvert Hall

Creating with fabric reminds me of my Grandma Ruth who always had a quilt frame set up in the house. I don't have space for a frame so I love to work on small quilts and wall hangings in my lap. Fabric has become my source of joy and peace....Joni Giancola, Poplar Grove IL bbtb4004@hotmail.com
I love making small quilts because there is always so many fabrics to use. Whether the pieces are from my scrap baskets or from my stash it's fun to play with them all.
I love small quilts because I can finish them and then move on to the next project. I also love to decorate with them, changing them with the season. My love of fabric is also a reason to quilt.
I love choosing the colors and seeing how they look together..I also love making these little projects in different colors and fabrics to show. Y my students how they can branch out a little and don’t always have to follow the teacher or the designer and can make a project their own. Sandy Bessingpas (sandybessingpas@yahoo.com)
Love learning to make small quilts, I get done faster and can make more!

I like making small quilts because they are just right for using the little scraps that accumulate from bigger projects.

I love the process of choosing fabrics and the end of seeing how it all fits together. Love the new books.
I forgot my info cmberry@lsu.edu...thanks
I love to plan and choose fabrics. Looks like a delightful book!

Love those small quilts! They’re so quick to sew up that I can have one for every season and every mood to enjoy in my home. So happy to have another Kathleen book to enjoy.
I just order my copy but have a friend who I just introduced to your quilts. She would love it! paulinejmsimpson@hotmail.com
Small quilts are a great way to test a technique or try a design. I also like to make a wall quilt or pillow to go with a large quilt out of the left over scraps. Love your designs and wonderfully written directions. carlyz76@aol.com
I make many quilts for family and love to think about the colors and interests of the person I want to make it for. Creativity is fun!

I have a collection of small quilts that I have made over the years. I have all of your books and have made many of your patterns. I can't wait to get your new book to add more to the collection! I am already inspired!
Thanks for writing your books!

I love small quilts for the challenge of piecing those small bits of fabric into a charming little piece of art that can fill a blank spot on a wall. Using scraps - or a controlled colorway - to make a small quilt is a fast way to make a gift for a dear friend or a loved one. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful designs with us...and for the opportunity to win a copy of your book! Joyce Meinhardt (jmeinhardt74@gmail.com)
Quilting was for me many years ago, a way of communicating with others when I first came to this country and didn’t speak the language. Today it is my passion and a small quilt brings so much satisfaction from beginning to ending by being such a quick process! I already own the book, but if I win it I can gift it to a dear friend that I just invited to do the July challenge!
A small quilt shows the pattern off in such a delightful way and uses up smaller pieces of fabric. Plus the quilting process can be started earlier. :) Happy Stitching.
One of the reasons small quilts are great is that you can finish a lot more quilts! It is also a fabulous way to try out a new technique or color combination. Quilting is for me a way to do something with my hands and creating quilts fills my soul :-)
Ik maak graag kleine quilts, omdat ik ze vaker gebruik dan een grote en zo mak je de quilts ook af en je gebruikt de scraps.
Hartelijke groeten Wilma
Just looking at these pictures inspired me, and I began to think which if my hoarded fabrics or scraps would work up just right
I love doing small Quilts as it helps use all those beautiful scraps that keep growing. Also I can get them finished & start enjoying them quicker. Love your books.

I love making small quilts as you get gratification sooner than when making a big quilt. My email is kaymcallister21@yahoo.com. Will be out of town until the 17th with no internet access so if I win, you can contact Sue Bennett. Thanks.

I love small quilts because they are so doable as compared to large quilts, and I love to decorate with small quilts! Virginia Gilmore, vagquilts@aol.com
I love how the color and shapes of fabric come together to make an allover pattern, especially when they are small. Lisa.c.paulsen@gmail.com
I think I LOVE the small quilts best because they remind me of my Gma Fern and how she taught me to quilt by making potholders. One day when I was a little girl and was up North at Gma and Gpa Mansfields, gma wanted to have something for me to do to keep my little hands busy and my mind occupied. So she led me to her bedroom closet and sorted thru her clothes. She picked out an old dress made out of flour sack material and a pair of jeans. She cut squares out of each fabric and gave me a needle and thread and taught me to sew. It was probably the ugliest pot holder you ever saw, but gma told me it was beautiful and I believed her and I have been sewing small quilts ever since.

I love making your small quilts because then I have the quilt hanging out so I can see it daily. Between your creative patterns and my handy work, it is like having living color inspiration to make me smile.
I love small quilts because they are easier to display than large quilts and they make lovely gifts! I only recently discovered your books and can’t wait to purchase my first one, which will be your new release book! Mary Hines, Fort Collins, CO mary_d_hamilton@yahoo.com.
I love being able to finish in a short period of time. dollartistcarla at aol dot com
I enjoy handpiecing so these patterns are just right. Sieg2@aol.com
I just love the process, particularly with small quilts. It's not overwhelming to select fabrics; as a hand-piecer, I actually get the quilt made in a reasonable time; and finally, I love hand-quilting small quilts.

I love small quilts, because I can try out new and different quilt patterns, learn new blocks and sometimes new techniques plus I can actually finish them. These are just a few of the reasons and besides small quilts are just plain cute! It is nice to be able to have a project that you know will enjoy and not be overwhelmed with it. Thank you too, for writing so many little quilts book for those of who love and enjoy the journey of little quilts.

I love everything about these little quilts. Love these books. I have been seeing and quilting over 50 years. Susan Denardo andrewvito6@comcast.net.
My mom waited for me to decide to learn to quilt in my 40’s. From then until she died at age 90, we shared so many quilting adventures. She loved making big quilts. I prefer small ones. I still hear her voice encouraging me to continue growing & being creative in my quilting life now. Love your quilt designs that are so inspiring. 😊 Peggy Thompson peggy4616@att.net
I love small quilts because they are so cute. I love putting all the colors and prints together. I started sewing pieces of fabric together by hand when I was about five years old. Once I sewed the pieces to the skirt of my dress accidentally. My maternal grandmother was my inspiration. I remember people being at her house to quilt a big quilt on a frame and getting to go under the quilt and push the needle up to the top. I was so proud doing this. I love all your books and the inspiration I get from them.

I always love to see a new post from you because I can go through your blog many times and never tire of seeing the small quilts. They are much easier for me to complete and quilt than the large quilts. There is an added warmness to a home that displays small quilts. Thank you for sharing your many projects with us and for the chance to win one of your beautiful books.

I'm inspired by the colors. There are countless options! I also love the small quilts and your books. I love hand piecing, and small quilts are more easily managed. Your small quilts in particular are just striking. The colors you choose are just perfect!

I just finished reading “Aunt Jane of Kentucky.” The whole book was as good as that quote. I was almost sad to finish it. What beautiful little quilts, especially like Prairie crossing 😁
Creating small quilts gives me a great sense of satisfaction because the outcome is something achievable and rewarding to my heart, mind and soul.
Thank you for making this kind offer of your sweet book.

There are many reasons I love making small quilts. A few of them are; giving me more time to play with fabric, being able to have a large selection of fabrics, taking up less space. The sense of having accomplished something, and best of all being able to use them in displays and decorating with them.

I have all of your books. Would love to win this one! Love making little quilts.
I love to make smaller quilts. I don't have a lot of wall spaces to display large quilts so they give me more ways to decorate my home. You can stick them everywhere to add a little color. They are perfect for gift giving too, and it's so much fun to make some for each Holiday or season.
I would love to win this book to give to my daughter. Karen

I love color! I love the feel of the fabric and love to just look at it. I am a "fabric snob" and am very particular about the fabric I use to make my quilts. I can see in my head the finished project and am not satisfied until I find exactly what I envision. For me the best part of quilting is organizing the fabric I want for a quilt and auditioning all the colors and prints. Making a small quilt is very satisfying for me as it is instant gratification and you need very little fabric to accomplish the look you are going for. Watching a quilt come alive as the fabrics are pieced is such a joy to me. Every step is closer together with a little quilt and there's such a feeling of accomplishment when the last stitches of the binding are finished. I have had your books for many years and have toyed with a few little quilts. Since I have joined Kathleen Tracy's Love of Little Quilts I have completed one challange and have several in the works. I am more focused and the fellowship with other quilters has been exciting and very encouraging. Thank you for giving quilters a forum to connect and share. No matter where we are in our journey or how experienced we are, we all share a love of quilting, especially little quilts.

I am making small quilts using some of your books for the patterns. I'm not sure why I love small quilts. They just speak to me in a different voice than the large loud ones and make me feel happy.
Terri
What a feast for the eyes, your books are! I love thinking about my sisters from the past who made these quilts without the advantages of fabric selection what we have. Please keep the patterns coming.

I like small quilts because they're quick and so darn cute!!
What I love most about quilting large or small is the creativity. I get up everyday and need to create. It is my adrenaline and passion. The feel of the fabric, the hum of the machine, the satisfaction of making something others will use and love. Thank you for all your books and inspiration. I have all your other books and have made several of the quilts in them.
Thanks

Quilting, to me, is like painting (which I can’t do) with fabric. I can be creative and the other bonus is that the product can be useful. There is nothing like cuddling up with a good book under a quilt!
I love making small quilts. You can try a pattern that you like without making a bed size quilt. After all, you only have so many beds to cover!
I love little quilts and hope to be considered a quilter one day. Your books are wonderful! My name is Bea. (beatriz.caridad@gmail.com)

I love making teeny quilts to use up all my scraps of precious fabric. Thank you for doing the giveaway. Sharon (buzzybeegardening@googlemail.com)
It's so weird because I was never drawn to the reproduction fabrics when I'd go shopping. I always gravitated to the bright colors, and while I still love them, I've become enchanted with the mini quilts after joining Kathleen's Facebook group. I like how they can be wall hangings, table toppers, or a gift for a little girl. Now my biggest problem is choosing with fabrics to use from my growing stash! Debbie Kistler (Dkis@aol.com)
kathleen thanks for the chance to win your wonderful book. i have done some of your small quilt little quilt a month programs and treasure my little quilts. i love your choice of fabrics and traditional block choices. your blog is one i always look forward to. thank you again and i can only hope i am a winner of this one. your book will join your others in my collection.

I am still a beginner sewer and it has really taught me alot by sewing smaller quilts. I also started sewing quilts because I want to be able to teach my granddaughters how to sew. They are 3 and 1 and I know that anytime now the oldest one will want to help Grandma make dolly quilts. Just the thought of this melts my heart, I can't wait. I would be honored to be able to win the books so I can show my girls the pictures of what we will make. Thank you

There easy to handle and try out a pattern.
small quilts can be neat as they are small - or can be turned into something large by making a sampler quilt from them and end up big! Challenging because of small pieces also - would love a copy
I only started making small quilts 3 years ago on a regular basis as I downsized and don’t have my long arm any more. The feeling you get when you add the binding is great as you can start on the next project. But to me using your scraps/ leftovers from previous projects giving them new life is similarly rewarding. I am enjoying your Facebook page and seeing the challenges. I personally do not have a book of yours but have been wanting several of them.

I admire the small quilts so much, I am intimidated over the large ones. They seem so much work and expense only to ruin them by clumsy attempts. But by studying the small ones I have come to appreciate the necessary accuracy needed to get them looking precise. More so than even the large ones I think.
I love the colors and the ability that these small quilts have of pulling them into the patterns.

Small quilts add a dimension to home decor, a cute little surprise..... they are also a great fix when you want to sew, but not a huge project. They also make great gifts. Love the patterns in your book.
Love to make small quilts to enjoy all over my home. I like to reproduce favorite bed quilts on a small scale as well.
Diane
I find a large quilt can be daunting both in cost and time. A small quilt can be as inspiring as a large quilt without the huge expense of money or time. Plus I love all things small, dolls, dolls houses etc. I have two of your books, so far.
Whenever I quilt, no matter what it is...a little wall hanging, table runner, lap quilt, bed size....each and every time it brings me right back to when I sat with my grandmother, Millie Wager, and she taught me how to hand quilt for the very first time. I wish she could see how I have progressed through the years with my quilting skills. Thank you SEW MUCH for the chance to win your fabulous new book! Happy Quilting!
I love small quilts. They can be finished more quickly. They can use up my scraps. They can be displayed everywhere in the house. They make great gifts. I LOVE SMALL QUILTS!!!!!
Your directions are easy to understand and always accurate. Small quilts mean I can make more in the amount of time to make a large quilt. I can find out what blocks I enjoy making if I decide to “piece larger”. Thank you. Sew happy to have made your acquaintance.
I would love to win a copy of your new book! mdjcarlson@netzero.com. Thanks for the chance!
Love your mini quilts and all things reproduction. The colors are definitely up my alley. Would love to win this book to add to my collection! Caryn Schipper, Caryn28383@gmail.com
For me, quilting connects me with the women who have gone before us. I love to make quilts by hand, both piecing and appliqué and then hand quilting them. handstitcher@hotmail.com
Small quilts are a great way to finish something quickly while playing with colors I may not feel comfortable with. Plus they can be used to decorate in a variety of ways. You're so generous to offer a chance to win. I always love how you put color together.
I love the patterns in that new book--and have seen a couple being done on the Facebook pages!! And I love Friday the 13th--and didn't realize we had one this month--have a great summer!

Wonderful eye candy!! I love working with small pieces. It takes a long time to make a large quilt using them. So, I can actually finish the quilt if it is a little quilt! Thanks for the chance to win! Love your style! lonajlong13@gmail.com
I love all quilt sizes, but am drawn to the doll or small quilts. I love working with the fabrics, choosing just the right combinations to put together. For me, it is easier to decorate with the smaller quilts in my little country cottage. I love the pictures of the little quilts in your new book!❤️

I love your small quilts. I am making a wall of small quilts.
I have an inherent need to be creative! Spent my adult years in residential construction with design and build (still at it!) and quilting is pretty much like that. I tell my friends I just cut stuff up and put it back together with all my creative interests- building/remodelling, quilting, cooking...

I love small quilts! They are quicker to finish, don’t require much in supplies and they make me happy just to look at them! And, you can never have too many💕
Thank you for being so generous! What fabulous projects - I would love to share with my quilting buddy. I love quilting - its relaxing and I love making people smile by giving them .
What wonderful little quilts. I like making small quilts because I can usually find a place to display them. They also make great little doll quilts for my granddaughter.
I love small quilts for many reasons. They can be very challenging as small pieces are hard to sew imho. I love to decorate with small quilts, so perfect to hang seasonally. You can also use a million other ways. Sadly, they don’t use as much fabric as I would sometimes like but they DO get done, no more ufos! Your quilts look great, lovely book. Thanks fir the chance.
Thank you for the chance to win your delightful book...the only one I do not own. Little quilts remind me of simpler times when little girls used the doll quilts so lovingly made for them. Their size also makes them fun to decorate our homes in various ways! They are not as intimidating to make as a large quilt so It is easier to make more of them!

I am addicted to small quilts....they are every where in my house! Although they are referred to as little quilts....as my first quilt book and project was from the Little Quilts gals in Marietta GA. And lucky me we moved to Atlanta them same year and month they opened their store!!! My husband swore he owned a corner of the store as so much of his money went there...hahaha! I love your books and patterns as they remind me of Little Quilt books....and since they have retired and closed the store....you are my little quilt gal! Would love your new book....has some great looking quilts in it....also love your blog....thanks Kathy for all you do for us small quilt lovers!

Small Quilts allow me to play with lots of new fabrics without "breaking the bank." And the small Quilts make decorating fun.
You design such beautiful little quilts! They’re so fun to run to the scrap tote & pull beautiful colors! And the small quilts are so nice to decorate my home with! I love every aspect of quiltmaking - from the fabrics to the binding and label! 😊
I love making small quilts because it enables me to sew and quilt when my time is limited. Also I get to play with fabric and thread! Love the quick finish!

I love small quilts because they are a way of making many beautiful patterns in a short time. They also look great around the house!
What I like the most about quilting is the opportunity to place in fabrics my creativity, my taste and the possibility of create something new out of scraps. Quilt takes me to "my happy place": no preasures, no regrets, just the fabrics and me.
Many analogies between quilting and life have been wrote, maybe because life inspires us to sew or maybe because sewing inspires us to live better.

Love all of the patterns in this book.
Quilting inspires me to try new things, be open to new ideas and always work to do my personal best on every piece I make. I have grown a lot since I became a quilter because quilting challenges me to do things I haven’t done before and don’t necessarily feel confident in doing. I have learned to put colors together that I would never have considered before. I have learned to look at some quilting as art and that has helped me understand the distinction between art and craft. I have learned to accept that some people don’t care for the same things in quilting that I do, and I in turn, don’t always care for every quilt that I see. I have realized that I really like and repect the efforts of many quiltmakers - contemporary quilts, art quilts, traditional quilts. We are all so fortunate to be involved in this art/craft that offers us so many options for our creativity.
What I find about quilting that inspires me to make a quilt, large or small, is the idea that I can play with colors and different shapes and end up with a masterpiece of design. It is relaxing and entertaining art form that I can actually accomplish!
Quilting inspires me to create from even the smallest scraps. Lately I have been making mini pieces as they are fun to tuck in any empty space!
I love making small quilts because they get finished faster and don't need as much fabric. Creatively, it is easier to try all the different patterns that I want to do. Your quilts are so beautiful and remind me of a simpler way of life. Thank you for the giveaway.
My sewing room is my place of peace, my happy place! I enjoy the small quilts since I can handle them easier & come up with a beautiful creation & bless others with them.

I like combining colors and making something decorative that's also useful.
Viewing the posts by the group always leave me in awe of the variances in color and size of the quilts. I have not tried to make a small quilt as I guess I am a little intimidated by the size of the pieces. I guess that is why seam rippers were made. I have a collection of dolls that could use blankies under them. I guess I just talked myself into trying to making a small doll quilt. I will take the plunge and face my fears. I have one of your earlier books already, so I'm on my way. Your new book looks simply marvelous and would love to hone my skill with your wonderful patterns. Happy Sewing
I think I am drawn to little quilts because my Grandmother made me a doll quilt for my Chatty Cathy Doll I received for Christmas. The small blocks, the patterns and designs in the fabrics just seemed special. Little quilts add warmth to any home and are eye catching art!
oh there are so many things I love about the small quilts ….. trying different blocks, able to make more different quilts ….. imagining life 100 years or more ago ….. my happy place is making these small quilts. Love all your books …… can only hope I'll have time to make all the lovely quilts!

j'aime beaucoup celui aux paniers , merci pour ce jeu !
Love love small quilts. I have every one of your books. Would love to win your latest book. Thank you genalstewart@gmail.com
Kathleen......I think it’s the contrast in color that the little quilt has ......the fact that children love to use them with their dolls in play ....and maybe it’s a quilt that uses scraps of fabric from the child’s homemade clothing which serves as a memory for the child! It’s this and more that draws me and the short time it takes to finish and use what you’ve made!! It makes me happy to make and to use!!😍
LOVE SMALL QUILTS, I LIKE PLAYING WITH SCRAPS AND FQ TO COME UP WITH SOMETHING THAT MAKES A NICE GIFT. hjrogers@sympatico.ca
Love small quilts because they are quick to make and I can offer them to my friends and family as personal gifts. Perfect for a house-warming, birthdays, Christmas gifts... And usually people are always touched by handmade gifts!

What is most inspiring to me about quilting is that it gives me a way to make my love for someone tangible, to express my creativity in a way that will show my love and also, I hope, show the recipient that I know them and was thinking of them specifically when I was making their quilt. would sure love to win this prize! Such cute little quilts!
I have a wall going upstairs and when I get enough quilts I am going to get someone to come and hang them for me. I need a lot of small quilts for that. I enjoy making smaller projects.
I love sewing small scrappy quilt because i can make one in a day, sometimes to offer.

I love your books!
Congratulations on your new book! Looks like it has a lot of fun patterns. I would love to promote it in the Netherlands.
What a wunderfull suprise if I would win this book. Just love it. m.palthe@live.nl
I make all my quilts by hand, so my production is very low. For me it isn't the endresult that counts but the process. Sewing tiny scraps together is so relaxing. It brings peace of mind, it gives me time to think and happiness when the quilt keeps me warm on cold days.

Es un placer trabajar con trocitos pequeños y ver el resultado terminado. Admiro sus labores, gracias por la oportunidad de participar.

Le deseo un estupendo día.
I make a lot of cat mini quilts. An appliqued cat on patchwork. The size of a chair or a little bigger for on a couch, so the kitties can have their own spot to sit, sleep, and wash. I use mine also as a lap quilt because my cat likes to put his nails in my legs!! And..I don't get full of hair. My mail address is ada2kopi@yahoo.gr
Doing small quilts gives me practice on hand quilting and machine quilting. It's also a way to stay connected with the past.

Kathy love the new book. You always have the best give aways.. good luck everyone.
There’s just something about creating a quilt from the selection of fabric, to carefully cutting each piece of fabric, to the joining of pieces together and then the quilting and binding. It’s such a creative process.

What is a “caliker?” I looked it up, but couldn’t find it.
I like making small quilts, first, because they are so adorably cute! Second, they are a fun way to try out a pattern or technique. Third, I can decorate my home with them so much easier than a larger quilt. iaciff@reagan.com
I have always loved dolls and quilting. Doll quilts are quick and usually easy to complete. Even when I'm busy, I can still sneak in some quilting and feel like I've accomplished something. Thanks!
Quilting is my ‘Happy Place’ it has seen me through many things in my life. Difficult things like sick children and the joys such as grandchildren. I love the feel, look and smell of cotton fabric it is a constant joy. Small quilts allow me to try out many new designs which would be impossible in full size quilts. Also I love the links to the past that quilting gives us and take great pleasure imagining women quilting in times gone by. Thank you for all your inspiration.
Small quilts are quick to make .I've got a few for almost every occasion ! and they are so versatile and adorable .
I can't way to see your new book . Thanks
I have always enjoyed making small quilts. They are quick and bring satisfaction. Also the designs are doable and can be used around my home or as gifts. Thank you for the beautiful designs.
I love small quilts because I can use many of my beautiful scraps and I love to see how the designs come together. Congratulations on your wonderful book and the chance to win.
Your small quilt designs, books and facebook group are wonderful. Enjoying the Facebook group seeing what other folks are creating is amazing what a wonderful community for quilters. Thank you
I love quilting because it allows me to express my creativity. I am not an artist-I can't draw at all, but I love mixing the different colors and patterns in fabrics.

Love the cute little quilts! Following you on Facebook and love checking in on your blog! Your book will be a great way to use up all my scraps! lls54382@hotmail.com
I have always liked small things since I have been a child . For awhile, I was into dollhouses and miniatures. Then when I started quilting, I became interested in making small quilts. I guess I love trying different quilt patterns and finding the perfect (sometimes) fabric combinations . Making small is not easier but sometimes faster than making a large quilt so I can make more quilts!!!

I love making small quilts. I typically use fabric from my stash and am always surprised to see how great the different fabrics come together.
Small quilts are great for “process” people. I can experiment with the process of making something new and still have a finished project in very little time as compared to larger quilts,
Every quilter has a list of quilts that they want or dream of making, but we all know there are not enough hours and days available to make them, so small quilts are the ideal way to make so many quilts, experiment with patterns, and try out different color combinations without investing a huge amount of time. Plus they are so darn cute!!! I have them everywhere in my house!
I've always loved history and traditional quilts, especially small quilts. I really like that I can make a quilt from start to finish by myself, quilted by hand or machine, in a short amount of time. Your designs are beautiful, thanks for the chance to win!
Love making the small quilts, Have the rest of your books and would like to ad this one to my collect. Love your books as there is more then just pattern. Thanks. karleenm@msn.com
I already know which quilt I will make! I live where two US Routes cross each other. Our Town is called Crossroads Town by some, so it seems like a given I NEED to make it! Thank you for the opportunity to win one! (bakerjn@hotmail.com)
I started quilting at age 70 and am addicted. doesn't mater what size or shape. bewtjwatgmaildotcom
Small quilts allow me to try new techniques.
If I like the technique then I can make a larger quilt.
If I do not want to pursue the new technique then I can just finish the small quilt and have a completed piece instead of a UFO to cause me guilt.
small quilts are great for time constraints, being a caregiver one cant lug a full size quilt around like a small one. I can use my scraps and i love decorating with them. I love this book.

I love that I can almost "escape" when working with fabrics to quilt. My mind is focused only on the task and the visions of the outcome~
Recently I joined a group for small quilt making. I found my passion. I truly love when I start one I know I will finish it because I can see the end due to it's size. I cannot put it down. The crisp feel of the little pieces as I put them together. Thank you.
I'm really loving making smaller quilts because I get to complete them myself, no more quilt tops hanging in the closet waiting for a quilter!
I have a child's antique chair and an antique wood bench. I use those to display the few little quilts I have made. The little quilts are perfect to use at different holiday times. The little quilts are fun to nestle into the chair or bench.
Thank you for your generosity in the giveaways!

Little quilts just call to me, especially if they're dollhouse scale. I'm working with a lot of shirt fabrics because I love the homey, old fashioned look of shirt quilts, they make a quilt that looks loved.
I love little quilts... they are quick and so versatile. I use them everywhere! Thank you for the chance to win this great book!!

You are my inspiration for making small quilts, really. I love everything you do, have all your books, and enjoy your blog.
Small quilts are not intimidating, they aren't expensive, and if you don't like it, you don't lose much time or money.
Would love to win this book!

The thing I like so much about quilting is that it reminds me of a simpler time. My great grandmother gave me a box of quilt scraps when I was in my early teens. She said "someday you'll make a quilt." I took the box and looked at her like she was crazy, but sure enough, I used those scraps after I had my first child and have been quilting for the last 40 years. The thing I like about your patterns is that they are scrappy and remind me of that simpler time and I love scrappy quilts. Ginney

What do I love about quilting (whatever the size)? Everything from picking out the design to the fabric and the final binding by hand ... relaxing, fulfilling and all that is good. Minis are especially fun because ... voila .. it's done!! Thanks, Kathleen, for the great giveaway. Your minis are the best!!
I adore your small quilt designs. The thing I like most about small quilts is the ability to get one finished in very little time. Mine rarely get put aside to finish another day. Keep up your wonderful designs and we will all be inspired. Betty Rhoads, boop4ubetty2@yahoo.com
Fabric and quilts just make me happy. It satisfies my creative instincts as nothing else does. I love the colors, patterns and texture. In short, quilting is my cup of tea!
Hi Kathy, I would love to win your new book! It looks wonderful. I have all your others and love them. Hugs, Sandi
