I know some of you may have already bought a copy but, if you win, give it away to a needy friend.
To enter your name, leave me a comment here telling me what you would like to see in my next book (not sure there will even BE a next one but what the heck . . . I'd still like to hear). Also, please leave an e-mail address or way for me to contact you.
I'll announce the winner on Sunday.
Good luck!
That is so generous. I would love to be able to give the book to a good friend, esp a signed copy.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
What a great give away. I would give this to a friend after I signed it of course.
ReplyDeleteI adore your work. There is something I would like to see and that is some of your patterns like "Be My Little Valentine" in multiple sizes. Small quilt, lap top quilt and another size. I paticularly like lap top or size I can drape on a chair or at the end of a bed that doesn't have too much bulk since I cover my beds with off white martha washington type bedspreads. Just an idea.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a Happy New Year
Karen in NC

I love all of your patterns! I have some of your earlier books but don't have this one yet. I would like to see more patterns that can be used in teaching history. Our family homeschools and I enjoy incorporating our lessons with our hobbies. Maybe a sampler quilt that has us making blocks from things we see along the Oregon Trail, kind of a diary quilt of sorts, if that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI have all of your other books and would love to have a copy. Haven't been able to squeeze out the funds for a purchase yet. I have no ideas for another book other than applique. It would be fun to have a redwork and bluework book with pieced borders using Civil War fabrics or 1930's fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a copy of this book. How about circles?
ReplyDeleteFor your next possible book, I'd suggest patterns using both cotton and wool combinations in table topper or small wall hanging sizes, or possibly multiple small quilt sizes in each pattern. I love scrap quilts and currently have this book on my wish list for my next purchase. Thank you for the opportunity to try to win it instead.
ReplyDeleteKathleen

cottonboll1874@gmail.com
As an idea for another book, what about a book that is a collection of small blocks maybe from 3-1/2"-4" as the largest down to as tiny as you dare go and then the quilter could choose to mix and match blocks to create all kinds of miniature quilts, along with tips and tricks on putting together miniature quilts.
ReplyDeleteI would love a to win a copy of Small & Scrappy! My very first minature quilt was the civil war baskets quilt in your book Remembering Adelia and my first attempt at hand piecing was on your yahoo group challenge a few years ago--Mourning blocks I think was its name. I have learned so much from your books. Thank you!

Kathy - I would love to have a signed copy of your book. Your work inspires me daily! Since I love what you have done, I would be very happy with more of the same, but our younger quilters might like something vintage with a modern twist. My daughter recently asked for a quilt where the blocks looked like they were floating. I accomplished it by adding some "shading" fabric to two sides of the blocks before I sashed it and it appeared to be floating. She loved it.
ReplyDeletePriscilla.bartlett@gmail.com
Two of my personal favorites are vintage and two color quilting projects, if you think that might interest you enough for another book.I hope you go for it. Just the fact that you are interested in our input makes me look forward to what you will come up with. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteI love your books and quilting style and color choices, together they create a warm and cozy vibe! If you do decide to treat us to another book just keep on doing what you've been doing cos'I love it!
ReplyDeleteMore small projects please ... table runners, candle mats, etc, please.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a chance to win your book. Thanks Annette parsons
ReplyDeleteIf you choose to write another book--and I hope you do!--I'd love to see a small size Burgoyne Surrounded quilt. It would be lovely made in your favorite blue with a white or muslin colored light. annparks@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteHi Kathleen, Your books are all wonderful. Congratulations on the newest one. I would LOVE to win it. Thank you for the chance to try. An idea for a quilt in another book would be a quilt from a different country. One showing the style of what bed sized quilts from whatever country you'd choose would look like. In the colors that country uses a lot. Happy Healthy 2017. Sharon bedreamer333@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI love all of your books and patterns. Any pattern you create is wonderful

Love your patterns and quilts! ❤️❤️
ReplyDeletecan't think of anything except more of the same....all your books have such adorable small projects and beautiful repro fabrics...
ReplyDeleteI would love to see you do a book with seasonal / holiday little quilts. Easter lilies/baskets, May flowers, Valentines, fall leaves...lots of possibilities. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI love scrappy quilts. Thanks
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be fun to start with page 1 of Brackman and make a small version of every block?!!!!
ReplyDeleteWould love to win this! Since we retired have not purchased your books (5 years now), so this would be new and another wonderful adventure for me. Have Civil War Sewing Circle, and love the ideas there! It would be a great way to spend these cold wintery snowy days yet to come working on little things to get me motivated again to finish the bigger ones. Thank you for this possibility!

I have enjoyed your previous books and feel certain I will enjoy this one as well. I love your little quilts as well as the additional projects you add in the books as well, such as the little envelopes. How about some pincushions? soardkgatfusedotnet
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this book. Sometimes I want to make a nice big quilt and then I realize it's a mini. So I guess I would like your book to show bigger sizing.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what would be next. I love these little minis. Last night I thought I would find patterns for a monthly theme as a wedding present.

ReplyDeleteI have all your books and I love them all. I just finished making the top of the January challenge - so much fun.
I especially liked the books where you combined history and quilts. So maybe another book with excerpts from a pioneer women's diary along with quilts that would coordinate with that time period.
Thanks for your generosity.

I would love this. I have lots of scraps and I love to do small/mini quilts. A signed copy just makes it even better. BTW, I love sunflowers. Also think it's fun to have mini versions of old quilts and the stories bwhind the patterns.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Glenda
I would love to have your new book..thanks for the chance. When you write another book, I would like to see appliqué with repro fabrics..
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win. I would love a book with small items like needle books, pin cushions, hand sewing roll, scissor pouch etc.
ReplyDeleteBonjour
