Pincushions, pincushions, pincushions. We had a little challenge in my small quilting groups this month - make a patriotic pincushion. Or two. Or three. Oh, however many you like. I guess you could call me a patriotic pincushion over-achiever.
As simple as they are, these little ticking flags are my favorites.
And you'll love this - My new book that's coming out in December has a whole array of cute little pincushions!
Have a happy and safe Fourth!
Oh I love them all!
ReplyDeleteDarling!
ReplyDeleteI think I need a basket full for next year!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July!
What a cute idea -- and your assortment is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI have some ticking fabric...hmmm.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely adorable...I know the feeling once you start you say what is one more...I agree they look so cute just nestled together in a basket...I stuffed mine with crushed walnut shells...is that what you used? the "happy parrot" shop gave me that funny little head tilt when I told them what I needed it for :) can't wait to see your little gems in the upcoming book !!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks adorable! Filling a bowl w/pincushions is what I am working on very slowly. This spurs me on to finish.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
Jane
I need to find myself a nice big wooden bowl. As you can see I grabbed a red casserole dish for some of the photos - LOL - All I could find that was big enough for the pincushions.
ReplyDeleteLove them all.
ReplyDeleteJ'adore ! Belle idée.
ReplyDeleteOhhh i'm so glad you caught the pincushion bug, Kathy... there's no way you can stop at one!! They're all so darn cute.. must admit i love the little ticking one, so sweet!!
ReplyDeleteThe RWB Pincushion Parade has been an awesome success. thanks to you & Sue!! Hopefully we can do it again next year :))
Every pincushion is wonderful but I must admit I love the ticking flags! I have seen so many from our parade that I would like to make, your little ticking flag would be very quick so it will be my first:) I am so looking forward to your book<3
ReplyDeleteKathy, this parade of pin cushions was so much fun!! Hope we can make it an annual event. The ticking one is my favorite too!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, especially all grouped together! I'm curious to know what you use to stuff your pincushions.
ReplyDeleteI love everybody's pin parade. So much talent and inspiration. I do hope that everyone treats their pin cushions with the flag on them as if they were the flag of our country. There are flag rules, not everyone follows them, but they should.I was raised in a military family, so we knew how to treat the flags. This is not a scolding for any one. We just need to get back to basics on flag respect.
ReplyDeleteKeep the pin cushions coming, I am finding so much inspiration.
love these wonderful pin cushions...now I have to go back through my bags of donation fabrics and pull out some of the red, white and blue U thought I'd never use...looking forward to your new book...
ReplyDeleteI just love your little pincushions, Kathleen! Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July!
ReplyDeleteThese are all lovely.
