Keeping up with blogging and other social media can be exhausting at times, even when you're healthy. Right now I'm down with a nasty flu bug and have no energy so who needs the extra stress? I've been writing posts almost non-stop since 2009 so I figure I deserve a break. Hope to be back soon. Maybe I'll even have some fresh ideas. There's a place on the sidebar where you can sign up for e-mail updates.
Hope you feel better soon Kathleen!
ReplyDeleteOh hope you feel better soon--I am down with bronchitis and two ear infections--so, I totally get it!! Drink a lot of fluids, and rest...we will all be here when you return....hugs, Julierose

Sure hope you feel better soon! In the meantime, indulge yourself a bit and really relax -- and enjoy the time away from your adoring fans. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you recover from this buy soon and are feeling more like yourself. WE all need breaks at different times to rest, to restore our hearts and souls so by all means you should take a break. Be well soon.

Kathy, you've been under the pump these past twelve months with all the stresses of writing a new book, so you deserve a well earned break. Take it nice and slow, get your health back on track and do whatever makes you happy. We'll always be here :))
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy, Get plenty of rest and let your hubby pamper you. Hope you get over this flu bug soon and feel so much better! Hugs, Jan D.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteKathleen,
ReplyDeleteI much like you need a blogging break on occasion because since I retired I seem to have less time to do so. Living on a working farm and with all of the hobbies I have some things take priority. I love the blogging and started to have a journal of my own and to share farm life with those that "wannabe" or are farming themselves. I've learned so much from you and the other blogs I follow. Take your break, feel better and come back to us soon renewed!! I'll try to take my own advise!!
Warmest regards, Rita
Thanks for letting us know Kathy! Take a well deserved break and we will look forward to hearing from you in the future.
ReplyDeleteKathy I certainly can understand your flu with these weather conditions we've had here in Illinois. I agree with everyone, rest, recoup and come back when your feeling well. Looks like your eating some healthy fruit (I love smoothies too) and surrounding yourself with lovely fabric, blocks and table runners:)
ReplyDeleteYou do deserve to pause now and then with blogging. When illness strikes your body is giving you warning to care for yourself as much as you care for you blog and your readers. Rest, recuperate, reinvigorate...we will all still be here when you get back.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon. Rest and recuperate and then return to us with your batteries recharged! I'll keep looking out for you :)

You MUST take care of yourself because if you don't, who will? Give yourself the necessary time to heal and get better. We will wait for you. We will miss you but we will wait. Take care and wish you a speedy recovery. ;^)
ReplyDeleteFeel better. Indulge in some rest and TLC. We'll be here when you come back.
ReplyDeleteThe bugs sure are nasty this year. Take good care of yourself & maybe the snow we're getting tonight will cheer you!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll be feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleterest up .....and feel better soon! you have given us plenty of inspiration to keep busy a long time! but I will miss your posts ....... and still eagerly anticipating your new book!
ReplyDeleteI caught the flu even though I had received a flu shot . . . though I felt a lot better after two weeks it really took six whole weeks to go away. So the key word is: Patience. Patience and rest. And finding something fun but gentle to pass the time while you are waiting. You have given so much with your fabulous blog and I am grateful.
ReplyDeleteHope you will feel better soon! Take your time and enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteWarm, healing hugs sent your way!
ReplyDeleteKathleen, I hope you are feeling better soon. I'm sure it's quite stressful to try and keep posting in all the social medias. Enjoy your break and come back to us with some fun fresh ideas!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break....and take time to rejuvenate!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a speedy recovery from the flu bug!!

dear ms kathy~
after writing *another* {no~doubt} amazing book & busting out all the creative chops to do so? the Rx for recovery? is pleasure. rest. ease. joy. lolling about doing absolutely nothing. letting the well fill again, naturally, slowly, organically. be indolent & lazy & enjoy it all.
*sends dark chocolate & earl grey tea & wild honey*

Your navy quilt looks unbelivable. Wonderful pattern and colors.
