I meant "your" quilt, etc.

Today, happily, I finished piecing my first quilt top from your beautiful book, The Civil War Sewing Circle. It is the Scrap Squares Doll Quilt from page 24. Recently, I laid out my quilt blocks on the back of my wing-chair - where I could gaze at them, adding and subtracting for a week of fussiness. After setting most of the squares I thought, "Oh no, this isn't working." I seam-ripped, re-ironed, and have begun setting my pieces with different "shirting." Now I like it.

I'm new at this and your books and blog are an inspiration. I guess I have a hard time experimenting on my own, I definitely love everything you come up with!Jennifer Mhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17022594248236994074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8153120810861642199.post-67085146942833427622015-09-19T19:38:09.077-05:002015-09-19T19:38:09.077-05:00Yes, that happens to me, too. They say "a quilt speaks to you" ...well, mine often says, 'this is blah, better punch it up' or 'just start all over'. Sometimes frustrating, mostly fun!Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16188194962777342015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8153120810861642199.post-39411737714995497862015-09-19T18:44:09.003-05:002015-09-19T18:44:09.003-05:00Yep, that happens to me all the time... i never kn...Yep, that happens to me all the time... i never know what my quilt's going to end up looking like.. it's always a happy surprise (well most times :))marianhttp://marianedwardsdreamweaver.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8153120810861642199.post-65573329883412420992015-09-18T02:17:36.983-05:002015-09-18T02:17:36.983-05:00Love the way there seems to be a square hiding in ...Love the way there seems to be a square hiding in the middle of the block.
